Laughing Gas! What A Blast!

Are you apprehensive about having dental treatment done?  If you answered yes, you are in the majority!  One method of "relaxation" we offer in our office is Nitrous Oxide, more commonly known as "laughing gas".  Does it actually make people laugh?  Sometimes it does.  But most patients who use laughing gas feel a sense of calm and relaxation, and it's safe for both adults and children.

The gas is administered with a comfortable mask placed over the nose, and you breathe in through the nose and out through your mouth.  After the treatment is completed, you're given pure oxygen to breathe for about five minutes, and all the effects of sedation are reversed. Unlike IV sedation or general anesthesia, you can leave the office by yourself, without an escort.

I am a dental phobic!  I know first hand how awesome the use of laughing gas is during dental treatment.  I recommend it to everyone that experiences even the slightest bit of anxiety about having dental work done.  With all the different methods of relaxation to choose from in dental offices today, there is no reason to put off dental treatment due to anxiety.  Postponing treatment only allows decay to get deeper, and the cost to go higher.

Speaking of cost, the fee for laughing gas in our office is zero, zip, nada, nothing!

I love this commercial;

      Cost of emergency dental visit?  $150.00
      Cost of gas to get you to dental appointment? $3.50 a gallon
      Breathing laughing gas so the first two items don't stress you out?  PRICELESS
